I've been meaning to send this for some time - just wanted to give you our experience with the real estate agent my wife and I worked with during our transition here - his name is Art Dusenbury, and he's with Keller Williams Success Realty.
While not referred to him by the company (my wife actually started working with him on-line well before I accepted the job to see what was available in the area in our price range), I did have an extremely positive experience with him.  He and his team spent a significant amount of time introducing us to the area and the features of each of the Northwest Suburb townships - literally, they drove us around and showed us not only the homes, but the parks, libraries, places of interest, etc.  Once we selected a house, he made the remainder of the process very seamless for us even though we were still living in the Buffalo area.  He also was very responsive in handling several problems that arose after we moved into the new house.

Art seems to know the local real estate market very well, and seems to us to be an ideal agent to work with for those new to the area.  Not sure what Northrop's policy is regarding selection of the real estate agents it works with when relocating new employees to the area, but I would strongly recommend his services.

I have clients, the Denault's. I sold them a home a week earlier. They called me on a Sunday sounding frantic. Patty was doing a load of laundry when the drain backed up and was pouring sewage into the basement.  I kissed my wife goodbye, and headed right over to their house.  Lenny had already rented a snake by the time I had arrived.  I rolled up my sleeves and worked with Lenny for 5 hours until the snake broke through the tree routes that had blocked out the outside drains. To be someone's Realtor For Life it takes committment on my part. I will have the same committment for you as I had for Lenny.
